Society refurbishes Archives research room
Remodeling is done at the Archives Research Room in the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. For 50 years, patrons visiting the archives went to the Reading Room for text collections and to the Visual Materials Viewing Room for photographs, films and graphics. These rooms had different service hours and a researcher visiting one room might not learn that there were related materials accessible in the other room.

The society now offer access to all archival collections in one place. This new unified reference program provides visitors with comprehensive information about services and holdings such as maps, local or state government records, manuscript collections, architectural records, photographs and rare books.

Staff election ballots available
Academic staff should soon receive a bright-pink ballot and statements of the candidates for this year’s all-campus Academic Staff Executive Committee election. Colleagues elected to ASEC work on behalf of staff in university governance.
