All-Campus Party 2004 celebrates end of academic year at UW
Students will know that spring is here and the semester is winding down when the All-Campus Party 2004 gets under way at UW–Madison.
The All-Campus Party 2004, hosted by the Wisconsin Alumni Student Board (WASB), will feature a variety of cost-free and alcohol-alternative events for students. The festivities, which begin on Monday, April 26, and continue through Saturday, May 1, include a film festival, Breakfast with Bucky on Bascom Hill, a pizza lunch on Library Mall, and a concert on the Natatorium East Fields, headlined by popular rock trio Better Than Ezra.
“The goal this year was to make it a truly all-campus event,” says Anne Lupardus, the party’s co-director and public relations chair. “We looked to involve as many student organizations and campus venues as possible to help celebrate our community and the enthusiasm that defines the UW.”
Wisconsin Alumni Association President and CEO Paula Bonner believes this year’s All-Campus Party will be a huge success. “All-Campus Party has truly become a campuswide event due to its enormous appeal,” she says. “Thanks to the students’ efforts and their numerous partnerships, I am sure that this year’s celebration will be an event for all to enjoy.”
This year’s All-Campus Party is made possible with the support of campus partners, including The Badger Herald, The Daily Cardinal, University Health Services, the Wisconsin Union Directorate and the Greek community. The event is funded by its sponsors, including the Wisconsin Alumni Association, Charter Communications, the Associated Students of Madison, the Office of the Chancellor, Topper’s Pizza and Coca-Cola.
WASB has been serving UW–Madison and its graduates for nearly 20 years. WASB provides an array of services, including Prospective Scholars Days, an informational program about UW–Madison for multicultural students; distribution of Robert Wood Johnson grants and donations to student organizations that promote alcohol-alternative weekend programs; and the Spring Networking Seminar, a program designed to bring together students organizations at UW–Madison.
