WYSO Steenbock Fall Concerts pay tribute to area music teachers

Orchestras and ensembles of the School of Music’s Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra’s (WYSO) will combine forces to honor school music teachers at the WYSO 2005 Evelyn Steenbock Fall Concert series on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12 and 13.

The Sinfonietta String Orchestra and Concert Orchestra will perform at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 12, and WYSO’s Philharmonia Orchestra will take the stage at 4 p.m. On Sunday, the Youth Orchestra and Percussion Ensemble will play at 4 p.m. In addition, the enCORe Horn Choir outreach program will display its talents at 1 p.m.

All concerts will take place in the Mosse Humanities Building’s Mills Hall. Tickets are $5-$8 at the door. For information, call 263-3320 or e-mail wyso@wyso.music.wisc.edu.
