Gardener’s shoes set the stage as Gerry Campbell, faculty director of the Community Scholars Programs, a one-year academic program that combines community service and opportunities for engaged learning, introduces a group of undergraduate students to the Quann Community Garden on Madison’s south side. The Community Scholars spent a Saturday morning helping to extend a living fence that surrounds the garden.
