Women’s Studies Program plans 30th anniversary celebration
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Women’s Studies Program, one of the nation’s oldest and largest programs, on Oct. 14 and 15.
All events are open to the public. The weekend will kick off with a special event on Friday, Oct. 14. Sue Rosser, a dean at Georgia Tech, will give a University Lectures (Committee) talk about women and science at 4 p.m. at 1800 Engineering Hall.
The celebration will continue on Saturday, Oct. 15, with a free symposium to be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Pyle Center. Keynote speakers include Rosser; Dale Bauer, a professor of English at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; and Linda Gordon, professor of history at New York University.
