Dean of students names new special assistant

Ann Pham has been appointed special assistant to Dean of Students Luoluo Hong.

In her new position, Pham will assist Hong in her duties as chief student affairs officer, help manage the affairs of the Offices of the Dean of Students and serve as a liaison between ODOS and the Associated Students of Madison and other administrators, faculty, staff and students.

Pham currently serves as assistant director of the Multicultural Student Center. During her time in the MSC, she played a critical role in advising the Multi-Cultural Council and co-facilitating a variety of social justice education programs, including the NCORE Leadership Institute, Student of Color Connection and UW Mosaic.

Pham will join ODOS on March 1 but will assume some of her duties on a part-time basis before her official start date.
