UW Director of Research Administration receives award
A senior University of Wisconsin–Madison research administrator has been recognized with a national award for her contributions to the profession of research administration.
Kim Moreland, director of Research and Sponsored Programs, received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research Administration from the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) during the organization?s annual meeting Nov. 1.
Moreland joined UW–Madison this year. The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs oversees the administration of outside grants and awards, and the submission of proposals to external sponsors. She was formerly the director of Grant and Contract Administration at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle Washington.
Moreland has been a member of NCURA for more than 20 years and is a former president of the organization.
