Johannes named to senior post at School of Business

Professor James M. Johannes has been named senior associate dean at the School of Business.

In an expanded administrative role, Johannes will work closely with Dean Michael M. Knetter and other members of the school’s leadership team in setting and executing programmatic and budget priorities for the school. He will also continue as director of the Puelicher Center for Banking Education and as the U.S. Bank Professor of Finance.

Johannes has served in many academic and administrative posts, including his most recent position as senior associate dean for undergraduate programs and administration, and chair of the Department of Finance, Investment and Banking from 1986-1996.
