Countdown to commencement set for Nov. 11

December graduates can prepare for life in the “real world” by attending Countdown to Commencement.

This one-stop-shop experience will take place on Thursday, Nov. 11, at Tripp Commons in the Memorial Union. The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) is co-sponsoring the event with The University Book Store, the Wisconsin Union and UW–Madison from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. No appointments are necessary.

Countdown to Commencement allows December graduates to get answers about the commencement ceremony, check graduation eligibility, reserve commencement attire, order class rings and have their photos taken by Carl Wolf Studio, Inc. WAA staff will be on hand to explain the benefits of joining the alumni association, including discounts on Kaplan Test Prep courses. They also will provide information about access to short-term insurance and a free e-mail account.

Winter graduates also may enter a raffle to win graduation packages such as a Josten’s class ring or a lifetime membership to the Wisconsin Alumni Association and the Wisconsin Union.
