New web site helps graduates seeking work
UW graduates now have access to a new Web site to find jobs. A free service from the Wisconsin Alumni Association called Badger Access is available. The site is powered by monsterTRAK.com, one of the world’s leaders in Internet employment sites.
Badger Access will help more than 350,000 alumni — and 41,588 current students — to be more aware of job opportunities and will enable Wisconsin employers to access alumni wherever they may be.
Once at the site, job seekers can search for full-time, part-time, temporary, internship and co-op positions. They can upload a resume, find a contact in an alumni network to talk about various careers and get in-depth profiles of companies seeking employees.
The Wisconsin Alumni Association has been working in partnership with monsterTRAK.com to help alumni find jobs for more than six years. Since the launching of Badger Access in January 2004, more than 6,000 jobs have been posted by employers, in fields from aerospace engineering to advertising.
Businesses searching for UW–Madison grads to fill positions pay a small fee to post jobs at Badger Access. To find out more about posting jobs, visit http://www.uwalumni.com/badgeraccess.
Wisconsin businesses proudly showed off their UW–Madison alumni employees recently. Visit the spirit day Web site for photos, including pictures from S.C. Johnson & Son of Racine, Spacesaver Corporation in Janesville and Harley Davidson in Milwaukee. The latter’s co-founder, William S. Harley, graduated from UW–Madison in 1907 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
