This image of Researchers Vicki Schwantes and Ted Cummings taking depth samples of the water in Lake Mendota is one of 15 campus photographs by university photographer Michael Forster Rothbart included in the book “Wisconsin 24/7.” The book is part of the “America 24/7” series, a documentary of life in America, with photos from across the state taken during one week in May 2003.
