Internaional students: Experience game day with WAA
The thrill of game day at Camp Randall Stadium is a feeling Badger fans know well. But many UW international students have never experienced this American pastime. That’s why on Sept. 25, the Wisconsin Alumni Association and Office of International Student Services are hosting a free, pre-game tailgate at Union South for all international students before the Wisconsin vs. Penn State football game.
“Seeing the sea of red and white, cheering along with the crowd, that’s something every UW student should experience at least once,” says WAA President and CEO Paula Bonner. “It’s so important that everyone on campus feels proud to be a Badger. This tailgate is a great way for international students to take part in a true Badger tradition.”
International students will enjoy refreshments and tailgate fare at Union South from 1:30-4:30 p.m., followed by the Badger football game. To register for the tailgate and purchase game tickets, students are encouraged to stop by the ISS office in the Red Gym by Wednesday, Sept. 15. Questions can be directed to ISS’s Travis Ulrich at 263-6675 or Ulrich@redgym.wisc.edu.
