Lecturer looks at suburban schools, racial difference
How some suburban schools deal with racial differences will be the topic of a lecture by visiting Harvard University scholar Ronald F. Ferguson on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 1:30 p.m. in 259 Educational Sciences. He will focus on “What Doesn’t Meet the Eye: Understanding and Addressing Racial Disparities in High-Achieving Suburban Schools.”
Ferguson is a public policy lecturer, economist and associate at Harvard’s Wiener Center for Social Policy. His presentation is part of the Visiting Minority Scholars Lecture Series, which is co-sponsored by the School of Education and the Wisconsin Center for Education Research.
