Open house booked for UW Press

The mysterious nuts and bolts of book publishing will be on public display at an open house of the UW Press on Friday, Dec. 12, from 2-6 p.m.

Visitors to the publishing offices at 1930 Monroe St. will be able to register for toursand door prizes, enjoy holiday snacks and purchase autographed copies of books by local UW Press authors.

UW Press publishes more than 100 books and 11 journals each year by authors and contributors from around the world. Subjects include fiction, art and photography, cookbooks, travel books and more.
