Sackman joins UHS

Dwayne Sackman has joined University Health Services as director of administrative services. His responsibilities include management of the division’s human, physical, financial and information resources. He succeeds Ferd Schlapper, who left the university last year.

Sackman comes to the UW from the University of Kansas, where he served as senior associate dean of administration for the School of Medicine for 14 years, and for an additional year as assistant chief business and financial planning officer in the Chancellor’s Office.

A graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., he holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas. He has nearly completed his doctoral degree in higher education administration.
