Student dancers showcase work in three April concerts

April 8, 2003

How are emotional struggles and feelings of intimacy and passion expressed through movement? These issues are explored by emerging student choreographers in the Dance Program‘s Spring Student Concert in April. Three performances, 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, April 10-12, will be held in the Margaret H’Doubler Performance Space at Lathrop Hall.

Among the choreographers are four School of Education Senior Honors Research Fellowship Award winners and five scholarship recipients. Students presenting works this spring include seniors Bethany Alwa (Lake Geneva), Jordan Buck (Lake Geneva), Darcy Cochrane (Palatine, Ill.), Joana DaCosta (Brazil), Karen Heusinger (Madison), Shannon Kao (Northfield, Ill.), Emily Plotkin (Mequon) and Amy Ward (Madison).

Tickets will be sold at the door at $10 for general public and $8 for students and senior citizens. On Thursday, April 10, student tickets are $5. For information, call 262-1691.
