Outreach office holds open house

Under a growing partnership, Madison Area Technical College will hold an open house and dedication ceremony from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, for its new Villager Mall community outreach office, 2300 S. Park St.

The new office is part of a partnership among UW–Madison, UW-Extension Dane County, MATC and Edgewood College to bring service-learning, educational programs and community outreach into South Madison neighborhoods.

UW–Madison opened its own office, adjacent to the new MATC space, in January. Since then, numerous classes, community groups and even a free Wisconsin Department of Revenue tax preparation service have made use of the space.
