Parade to alter traffic patterns Oct. 18

Street closures and other restrictions will be in effect Friday, Oct. 18, from 3-7 p.m. due to the Homecoming parade:

• Langdon Street, between North Lake Street and Wisconsin Avenue, will be closed from 3-6 p.m.
• The parade route will be closed from 6-7 p.m. The route includes the 600 block of Wisconsin Street, the 600 and 700 blocks of State Street, the 400 block of West Gilman Street and the 100 block of Broom Street.

Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are urged to watch for barricades, signs and police officers directing traffic. Tickets will be issued to those parked illegally.

Access to the Lake Street parking ramp will not be impeded by these closures; area residents are encouraged to park there or make alternate arrangements.
