WAA hosts international student graduation celebration
International exchange students and graduates will gather Wednesday, May 8, at the Pyle Center’s Alumni Lounge, 5:30-7:30 p.m. for a graduation reception sponsored by the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
The International Student Graduation Celebration will feature entertainment, food and lively discussions among students, faculty and staff.
This event offers graduating students a way to celebrate their accomplishments and say farewell to UW–Madison. Students are welcome to wear the traditional dress of their home countries, and to invite a favorite friend or mentor.
Featured speakers include International Student Services director Sheila Spear, International Studies Dean Gilles Bousquet and Jeff Wendorf, WAA vice president of programs and outreach.
“International exchange students have played a big role in the global visibility of UW–Madison,” says WAA President and CEO Paula Bonner. “At this reception, we’ll recognize their hard work and welcome them into the alumni community.”
Students wishing to attend the reception should RSVP by Tuesday, May 7.
