Students in Military Science 332: Advanced Military Tactics remove fake weapons from a felled “enemy” during a reconnaisance exercise on Picnic Point. About 10 juniors in this advanced course have already committed to enter the Army following graduation. The course, led by associate professor Michael McColgan, challenges them to begin thinking and acting like officers, combining study of military tactics with field exercises that apply those principles in simulated situations.

Dishing up the big games

So what did you do on spring break?
Some students swore off the beach to participate in one of nine Alternative Breaks programs, all of which emphasize volunteerism and community service.
