Fire planned for natural area

A prescribed burn of the Biology Core Curriculum Prairie at the top of the field on Picnic Point is scheduled today, March 19, or March 21 or 22 if the weather is unsuitable.

The prescribed burn is meant to assist germination and plant establishment. The burn is part of the Biology Core Curriculum Prairie initiated in 1997. Information: 265-9275, cbruner@fpm.wisc.edu.
