WAA sponsors March Madness contest

To tap into the excitement of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, the Wisconsin Alumni Association, in conjunction with the UW System, is sponsoring an online March Madness trivia contest.

Starting Monday, March 11, through Friday, March 22, WAA will post a daily, multiple-choice trivia question on its a href=”http://www.uwalumni.com”>Web site. Two daily winners will be picked from the correct answers.

At the end of the contest, WAA will randomly select two names from those who submitted correct responses. Each winner will receive a basketball signed by the members of the UW–Madison men’s basketball team.

The UW men’s team claimed a share of the Big Ten conference championship with a win over Michigan Feb. 27. It is the Badgers’ first conference championship since 1947.

“March Madness is always an exciting time each year, and our trivia contest uses the excitement surrounding the tournament to educate UW–Madison alumni and Wisconsin citizens about their alma mater and the UW System as a whole, including its positive impact in Wisconsin,” says Paula Bonner, WAA’s president and CEO. “We appreciate that UW System is partnering with us with this fun and educational contest.”
