‘Guerrilla Girls’ appear March 12

March 4, 2002

Tickets are available starting today for The Guerrilla Girls, an anonymous, collaborative group of women artists and art professionals who fight discrimination in the art world with wit, satire and humor.

The group will appear Tuesday, March 12, 7:30 p.m., Wisconsin Union Theater, Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St.

The Guerrilla Girls appear in public wearing gorilla masks to protect their identities so audiences focus on the issues rather than the speakers’ personalities.

Free tickets to this Distinguished Lecture Series event will be available to students, faculty, staff and Union members at the Wisconsin Union Theater Box Office starting today, March 5, and to the public starting Friday, March 8. Box Office hours are 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. weekdays 262-2201.

The Wisconsin Union Directorate Distinguished Lecture Series and Art committees sponsor the event along with the Rape Crisis Center and Associated Students of Madison. For more information, contact Tim Lindl, (608) 262-2216, tjlindl@students.wsic.edu.
