A photo on the back page of the Jan. 30 issue incorrectly identified the Wisconsin basketball player pictured. The caption should have identified No. 30 as senior guard Tamara Moore.

Names are hot topic
The Assembly Government Operations Committee plans to meet Wednesday, Feb. 20, on a measure (AB 480) that would prohibit any state agency from designating a name for a state-owned facility.

The committee chair, Rep. Steve Wieckert, R-Appleton, has introduced an amendment to the bill that would exempt the university from this prohibition. The meeting is scheduled at 10 a.m., 328 Northwest, Capitol.

Meanwhile, Madison-area state lawmakers Sen. Fred Risser and Rep. David Travis have introduced bills (SB-415 and AB 779) that would rename the UW–Madison Institute for Environmental Studies as the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. The Senate Universities Committee was scheduled to hold a public hearing on the idea today, Feb. 13, 1:30 p.m., 411 South Capitol.
