Roundtable luncheons scheduled for fall
The fall 2001 UW–Madison Roundtable luncheon series will feature talks by the university’s new leadership as well as take a fun look at the idiosyncrasies of life in Wisconsin.
The roundtable series, open to the public, begins Oct. 10 with an address by Chancellor John Wiley on the university’s new strategic plan.
The co-chairs for this year’s series are John Tortorice, development specialist at Memorial Library, and Jim Steakley, professor of German.
“This year’s lineup really gives those who attend a great opportunity to learn more about what plans and ideas the new chancellor and provost have for the university,” Tortorice says.
The buffet-style lunches are 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., Tripp Commons, Memorial Union. Cost. $8.50. Reservations by 4 p.m. the week before each presentation. Send reservations to Colleen McCabe, 270 Bascom Hall, 500 Lincoln Drive, Madison, Wis., 53706, with checks made out to “UW Roundtable.” Reservations are also accepted at (608) 263-2985, or cmccabe@bascom.wisc.edu. Fees for these reservations will be collected at the door. Here is the schedule for this fall:

- Tuesday, Nov. 6: Peter Spear, new UW–Madison provost, “Perspectives from a New Provost.”
