Commuter options to be outlined

September 11, 2000

University employees can learn about options for getting to and from work at the commuter information booth in the Union South lobby Sept. 12-13.

More than 285 UW employees have signed up in the last year for commuting options including carpools, vanpools, mass transit, park ‘n’ ride and bicycling.

Employees may request free, personalized ride-options reports that identify others who would be good matches for sharing rides to work. The report also identifies other services such as vanpools, Madison Metro routes or park ‘n’ ride lots.

Madison Metro maps and schedules and bicycle maps will be available. A coordinator will be on hand to answer questions.

Ridesharing information and assistance is available year-round by calling 266-RIDE.
