Business social planned for Fluno Center
The School of Business and its Women in Business Council are inviting area business women and alumnae to an evening social, 6-8 p.m., Sept. 19 at the Fluno Center for Executive Education, 601 University Ave.
Guest speaker is Carol Skornicka, senior vice president-corporate development, secretary and general counsel of Midwest Express Airlines, Milwaukee. Skornicka’s talk, “Leadership Lessons Learned,” will be followed by time for questions and discussion.
Skornicka, one of Wisconsin’s top female executives, is former secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations (now Department of Workforce Development) and also was a practicing attorney who became a partner in the firm.
Guests also will receive updates on opportunities for women at the School of Business and the work of the Women in Business Council.
