Memorial Union Deli to be remodeled

The Memorial Union Deli will serve limited items during remodeling that begins Monday, July 10 — but the ice cream counter will still be open.

The popular purveyor of snacks, sandwiches, coffee and ice cream is getting a facelift to create a more convenient “grab and go”

Hours and menu items will change during the remodeling, which is expected to take two weeks. The hours during construction will be Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon-10 p.m.

Coffee, beverages and Babcock ice cream will still be available. Sandwiches, bakery and snack items will return after the construction is finished.

For heartier fare, Lakefront Cafe will be open most mornings at 7:30 a.m. and the Rathskeller opens for lunch at 10:30 a.m. On mornings Lakefront is hosting conferences, the Rathskeller will open earlier.
