Speakers are needed to connect with Wisconsinites at science festival
The Wisconsin Science Festival and UW-Madison Speakers Bureau are looking for passionate, creative UW–Madison faculty and staff and graduate student speakers to connect with communities throughout Wisconsin during the Wisconsin Science Festival, Nov. 2-5, 2017. Speakers will highlight how science, technology, engineering, art and math impact our lives.
In preparation for the festival, the Speakers Bureau website will be showcasing a special category of Wisconsin Science Festival speakers. Faculty, staff and graduate students interested in visiting host groups around the state for this event are encouraged to self-nominate. Speakers who are included on the Wisconsin Science Festival list may receive invitations from those groups to speak during the four-day window.
Volunteer speakers who participate in this special outreach opportunity will not only connect with Wisconsinites on important topics, but also strengthen those communities’ connections to UW–Madison. Participating speakers will be reimbursed for travel expenses.
If you are interested in volunteering with the 2017 Science Festival, please complete the online registration form by May 15, 2017.
