UW-Madison Army ROTC marks 100th anniversary by honoring distinguished alumni
What: The Badger Battalion, UW–Madison’s Army ROTC unit, will honor four distinguished graduates with induction into the unit’s Alumni Hall of Fame. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps.
When: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016

Who:
Brig. Gen. Don F. Pratt, Class of 1917
Brig. Gen. Pratt served as the assistant division commander for the 101st Airborne Division during World War II and was killed in action during the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944.
Col. Harold P. Mueller, Class of 1961
Col. Mueller is a veteran of 31 years in the Army and served as the battalion commander for the 2nd Battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment in Vietnam. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts.
Col. George H. Johnson, Class of 1979
Col. Johnson completed 30 years of distinguished service with the elite U.S. Army Special Forces in 2009 and received multiple awards for exceptionally meritorious service with prominent government intelligence agencies.
Col. Joseph P. Buche, Class of 1984
Col. Buche served for 30 years on active duty as an infantry officer in significant leadership positions, to include command of combat units in two wars.
