Grants from the Hilldale Foundation and the Wisconsin State Legislature provide for awards of $3,000 each to undergraduate students and $1,000 to the faculty/staff supervisors to work in collaboration on research projects.

Herfurth-Kubly Awards

Kristina Dassing, an occupational therapy major from Canton, Mich.
Trisha Lamers, a biochemistry major from Fond du Lac
and Shane Hamilton, a history major from Madison are 1998 recipients of the Herfurth-Kubly Award.

Winners of the award, the most prestigious honor a UW–Madison senior can receive, are selected based on ablity to communicate, degree of self- support, academic achievements, extracurricular activities and community contributions. The winners receive a cash stipend. The awards have been given out annually for 69 years.


Holstrom Environmental Scholarships

A generous grant from Carleton and Mary Beth Holstrom of Pipersville, Pa. provides for awards of $3,000 each to five undergraduate students and $1,000 to their faculty/staff advisers to work in collaboration on research projects relating to environmental issues.
