UW-Madison graduate programs ranked among best by U.S. News and World Report

Several UW–Madison graduate programs are ranked among the nation’s best in the 2013 edition of U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools.”

Not all programs are ranked every year. Those UW–Madison programs ranked this year (along with specialties ranked in the top 10 nationally) include:

• School of Business: 25th overall for full-time MBA, and 21st overall for the part-time MBA program.
• School of Education: ninth overall. Ranked specialties include administration and supervision (second), counseling and personnel services (second), curriculum and instruction (first), education policy (third), educational psychology (first), elementary education (second) and secondary education (third).
• College of Engineering: 17th overall. Ranked specialties include chemical engineering (seventh), industrial and manufacturing engineering (seventh), and nuclear engineering (second). The College of Engineering was also included in the “Honor Roll of Online Options.”
• Masters of fine arts: 18th overall. Ranked specialties include printmaking (second).
• Health disciplines: Ranked specialties include clinical psychology (second), pharmacy (fifth), social work (11th) and speech-language pathology (second).
• Law school: 35th overall.
• School of Medicine and Public Health: 27th in research and 12th in primary care. Ranked specialties include family medicine (ninth).
• Public affairs: 12th overall. Ranked specialties include social policy (third).
