Campus visits set for business services post
Members of the University of Wisconsin–Madison community will have opportunities in the next two weeks to meet and talk with finalists for the position of assistant vice chancellor for business services.
Each candidate will give a presentation and answer questions in forums open to the campus community. Dates, times and locations for the forums are as follows:
- Friday, Feb. 24: Thomas Sheeran, former chief business officer, Montgomery College, Rockville, Maryland; 3 to 4:15 p.m.; Welcome Center, 21 North Park St.
- Monday, Feb. 27: Renee Rizzo, vice president of finance/controller, UW Hospital and Clinics Authority; 3 to 4:15 p.m.; Welcome Center, 21 North Park St.
- Thursday, March 1: Anthony Timmons, director of the Budget and Business Services Bureau, Wisconsin Department of Revenue; 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; Welcome Center, 21 North Park St.
- Friday, March 2: James “Jim” Butts, associate director for operational services, Wisconsin National Primate Research Center, UW–Madison; 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. Welcome Center, 21 North Park St.
- Monday, March 5: Martha Kerner, administrator of the Division of Administrative Services, Wisconsin Department of Administration; 3:00 to 4:15 p.m.; Welcome Center, 21 North Park St.
While visiting the UW–Madison campus, the finalists also will meet with university leaders, Division of Business Services staff, and other faculty and staff groups.
A search and screen committee of faculty, staff and students recommended the finalists to UW–Madison Vice Chancellor for Administration Darrell Bazzell. The new assistant vice chancellor will succeed Don Miner.
The assistant vice chancellor for business services leads the Division of Business Services, which provides a wide range of business services to the university’s schools, colleges, departments, faculty, staff and students. The division includes the departments of Accounting Services, Bursar, Internal Audit, Purchasing Services and Risk Management.
