UW-Madison’s official Badger Bowl Tour brings fans to the Rose Bowl
The Wisconsin Badgers are preparing for a return to the Rose Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, and fans can follow the team to Pasadena, Calif., as part of the official Badger Bowl Tour by the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) and Wisconsin Athletics.
Tour packages are now on sale, and the tour is open to all University of Wisconsin alumni, fans, friends, and families.
New this year, fans have some flexibility to build their own packages, with game tickets, certain events, and other amenities available to be purchased separately — keeping the costs more affordable.
“Badger fans can’t wait to get back to the Rose Bowl and cheer the Big Ten champs on to victory,” said Paula Bonner, WAA president and CEO. “And WAA is proud to offer alumni and friends the chance to experience the only all-encompassing Badger bowl tour, and celebrate New Year’s Eve the Badger way.”
The On Wisconsin and Varsity packages include four nights of deluxe accommodations from Dec. 29, 2010 to Jan. 2, 2011, round-trip charter air service from Madison and Milwaukee, and a special New Year’s Eve event. The On Wisconsin air-and-land tour packages start at $2,339 per person; land-only packages start at $1,374 per person. The Varsity air-and-land tour packages start at $1,791 per person; land-only packages start at $846 per person.
Travelers may also choose the Bucky package, which includes a two-night stay from Dec. 31, 2010 to Jan. 2, 2011. Land-only package rates start at $439 per person.
Every package includes lodging, game-day transportation, admission to the official UW pre-game tailgate, the Badger Blast/Huddle, exclusive souvenirs, and access to around-the-clock customer service and an on-site UW hospitality desk staffed by travel professionals.
Fans can book their official Badger Bowl Tour to the Rose Bowl and get more details online. Packages are also available through the WAA Bowl Hotline at (866) 373-5073.
