Campus schedules change due to snow

Numerous campus activities and have schedule changes related today’s (Feb. 6, 2008) snowstorm. As of 3:30 p.m., they are as follows:

Wisconsin Union: Memorial Union and Union South will close at 5 p.m. today; all events in those buildings tonight are canceled.

Libraries: The following libraries will be closing early today.

• Art Library — 5 p.m.
• Biology Library – 6 p.m.
• Center for Instructional Materials and Computing (CIMC) – 4 p.m.
• Chemistry Library – 6 p.m.
• Geography Library – 5 p.m.
• Law Library – 6 p.m.
• Math Library – 6 p.m.
• Memorial Library – 6 p.m.
• Music Library – 6 p.m.
• Physics Library – 5 p.m.
• Social Work – 5 p.m.
• Steenbock Library – 6 p.m.
• Wendt (Engineering) Library – 6 p.m.
• Wisconsin Historical Society – 5 p.m.

College Library will remain open at least until midnight.  It is possible that they will remain open all night pending the availability of third-shift staff.
Ebling Library will remain open until 11:45 p.m.

University Housing: Housing Food Services Units will be closing at 10 p.m., including Rheta’s in Chadbourne, Now or Later, Frank’s Place, Carson’s Carryout, Ed’s Express and Newell’s Deli. Please be sure to make any meal purchases prior to 10 p.m.; on-line orders for delivery from the carryouts will be accepted until 9:30 p.m. Regular service hours will resume tomorrow.

SAFE Nighttime Services: A dispatcher will be on duty from 7 p.m.-1 a.m., however SAFE Walkers will not be walking. Instead, SAFE Cab rides will be offered to the extent cabs are available.

Transportation Services: Lot 7 and Lot 20 will close at 6:30 p.m.

Anyone planning to attend evening events on campus is encouraged to call ahead to ensure programs are continuing.
